Monitoring was used as the key restrictive strategy to counter children’s unhealthy eating practices. We identified multiple restrictive and promotional strategies that caregivers utilized in the face of limited family resources and the poor quality of the neighborhood food environment. If your schedule allows, please stop by on October 18th for our St. James Parish Ag Day gives the students (3rd - 4th grade) of the parish the opportunity to experience interactive activities which will help educate them on the importance of agriculture in their daily lives. We will have animals for touching and viewing, aquaculture, hydroponics, and interactive displays from several agencies.
